Off to a Roaring Start! What an amazing Saturday at the South Florida Writers Association! A perfect day for Member Readings. So much talent. As the new president, I could not have been prouder of our members and our new team of Officers and Board of Directors! Next meeting Aug. 4th at 10:30 AM. Pinecrest Library. Free and open to the public.

Off to a roaring start! The South Florida Writers Association held its first meeting today, July 7th, with Member Readings, under the new team of officers and Board of Directors, led by SFWA president Beverly Melasi-Haag.

Twice a year, the SFWA showcases the talents of membership by giving them their 5 minutes of fame…spotlight on them…as they read selected sections of their written/literary artwork of various genres. Member Readings are held in February and July. Other monthly meetings feature presentations about writing, writers, tools of the trade, publishing, book marketing, etc.

Oh, what an inspiring day well spent and shared in fellowship and eclectic creativity at the Pinecrest Library. The quality of poems, essays, short stories, snippets of novels, jokes, commentaries, etc.. entertained, inspired, informed, provoked, moved us at different levels. SO PROUD OF MY SFWA TRIBE!
